Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support and enhance enterprise data governance within the banking environment. The role focuses on developing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and regulatory compliance in line with banking standards such as NDMO, PDPL, and BCBS239.
The candidate will work closely with business, IT, and vendor teams to manage critical data elements (CDEs), data stewardship, and governance workflows, while driving automation and integration of data governance tools to improve efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and processes
Ensure data quality, data lineage, metadata management, and compliance
Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors for governance implementations
Support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements
Automate and optimize data governance workflows and reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of experience in Data Governance within banking
Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, banking regulations, and automation tools
Experience with data governance platforms and scripting (Python/SQL preferred)
