Job Description
1. Sourcing & Procurement
- Procure raw materials, APIs, chemical solvents, and specialty chemicals from domestic and international suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities to ensure they meet the specific technical specifications and quality standards required for chemical manufacturing.
- Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ), compare prices, and negotiate terms, pricing, and bulk-order discounts.
2. Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain a reliable network of chemical suppliers.
- Regularly monitor vendor performance (delivery time, quality compliance, cost) and resolve any supply chain disputes.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain
- Monitor inventory levels of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Coordinate with the production, warehouse, and logistics departments to align purchasing schedules with manufacturing demands.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all chemical procurements comply with safety regulations, environmental laws, and company policies.
- Process Purchase Orders (POs) using ERP/SAP systems.
- Verify purchase invoices and coordinate with the finance department to facilitate timely vendor payments.
